RICHARD SMITH
Richard was known in the Ontario fencing community as a "take no prisoners" competitor, who's decades long career culminated in a Mens' Foil Team Gold medal at the 2007 Commonwealth Veterans Fencing Championships in Toronto. As proud as he was of that accomplishment, he was prouder still of the many successes of his fencing students. He was founder and head coach of Kanata Fencing. Richard was a naturally gifted coach who gave 100% to his students and their families.
